An interesting article highlighting a variety of art used in protests:

A look at the history of art used in protest, in an article by the Met Museum in New York, NY.

I found the article interesting and informative. It’s a great overview of artist’s impact in violent times. While the artists may not be able to stop the violence from happening, their art makes the deaths, pain and suffering that they’re witnessing become more humanized.

This article from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, in New York City, “Art, Protest, and Public Space”, highlights a series of artists who used their art to stand up for what they believed in. Included in this article are examples of pictures and visual arts conveying the true horrors and victims of brutality in a way that trying to describe in words would never achieve.
